In 1971 Ermando Salini, the president of Salini Fashions Limited, began importing and distributing Italian leather handbags in the Toronto area. Over time, Italian goods became increasingly more popular and Ermando Salini decided to venture into the footwear market. Importing leather shoes from Italy, business started growing rapidly and distribution spanned across Canada. In response to the current global market, Salini Fashions Limited has expanded its goods to include footwear from Spain, India and China. Currently, Salini Fashions Limited is expanding its distribution to include the United States of America.
